Afgelopen dinsdag hebben in de commissie Algemeen Bestuur verschillende mensen ingesproken over de nachtvergunning. Voor- en tegenstanders. Deze inwoners van Middelburg wilden hun geluid laten horen omdat het voorstel van de burgemeester is om de Algemeen Plaatselijke Verordening (APV) zo aan te passen dat er één extra vergunning afgegeven wordt voor een horecazaak om tot 5.00 uur ‘s morgens open te mogen zijn.

Het is de ChristenUnie niet duidelijk waarom dit besluit nu opeens genomen moet worden. In de APV wordt normaal gesproken beleid wat vastgesteld is vastgelegd. Het verbaast ons dan ook dat zo’n toch wel ingrijpende wijziging even in de APV ‘gefietst’wordt.

Vandaar dat de ChristenUnie komende maandag een voorstel doet om de extra nachtvergunning niet even te regelen via de APV, maar via een actualisatie van het Horecabeleidsplan.
